Please Note: The easiest way to install these downloads is to choose "Run" or "Open," depending on which choices your browser or operating system gives you (only one of these), when asked what you want to do with the file. Then work your way through the various security warnings, wait for the downloand, and click "Go" in the setup wizard which eventually appears.

Note that Kinnexus is compiled for PC-compatible computers running Windows 98, NT, ME, 2000, XP, or later. It is not available for Linux or Macintosh operating systems. Telescan is aware that some Mac users run Kinnexus successfully in a PC-emulation environment, but Telescan does not recommend or provide technical support for such a configuration.

- Kinnexus PDF Printer - Allows you to print from Kinnexus and other programs into PDF (Portable Document Format) files, which are less likely than HTML attachments to be stripped by mail systems. Note that if you used one of the custom setups above, you already have this component and don't need to download it again. A 4 MB download. (This component is for internal use by Kinnexus. It will not work well as a general-purpose PDF printer.)

Replication (Advanced Users Only!)
Warning:
Do not attempt to install Kinnexus Replication without using
the Kinnexus Replication Instructions.
To use Kinnexus Replication, you first must install on your PC a personal version of Microsoft SQL Server. This can be the Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine (MSDE), if your operating system is prior to Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2. Current versions of Windows XP, with Service Pack 2, are incompatible with MSDE; in this case you must use Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition or later.
Note: Although they run in the background, these database engines require substantial system resources and may adversely affect the speed of other programs running on your PC. The replicated database itself may require several gigabytes (GB) of hard drive space or more, depending on the selected replication profile(s), and obtaining and updating replicated data can take a substantial amount of time even over a fast Internet connection. Therefore, it is recommended that you not attempt replication unless your PC has at least 512 MB of RAM and several GB of available hard drive space, as well as a broadband Internet connection of some sort (DSL, cable, or other). The likely outcome of attempting replication over a dial-up modem connection is frustration and failure.
Do one of the following first, depending on your operating system:
- Install Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine (MSDE) - If your operating system is earlier than Windows XP Service Pack 2, install MDSE. Download size is 42.1 MB, so try this only if you have a fast Internet connection. Note that the MSDE setup reaches a point or two where you appear to be waiting for a while, but nothing is happening. Do not assume that installation is complete until the setup program itself notifies you of completion.
Install Microsoft Server Desktop Engine (MSDE)
- Install SQL Server 2003 Express - If your operating system is Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later, install SQL Server Express from Microsoft's web site. Download size is 53.5 MB, so try this only if you have a fast Internet connection. Follow Microsoft's installation instructions. Note that it may be necessary to install Windows Installer 3.0 or later and Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or later; links to these Microsoft products are available from the installation instructions for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition. Telescan cannot provide support for these Microsoft installations or help you resolve difficulties with them. Microsoft may be able to assist you.
