|
- HANDHELD DEVICE INTERFACE - A WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) interface gives access to the Kinnexus database through your Blackberry, WAP-enabled cell phone, or other capable handheld device. Users can search the most common fields, such as price, address, MLS number, listing agent, and area. Search results include the same fields and more, including bedrooms, bathrooms, a photo, and more.
- AUTOMATED E-MAILING OF NEW SEARCH RESULTS - Kinnexus 2.x had the capability to associate saved searches with specific contacts; Kinnexus 3.0 adds a further level of functionality. Contacts can receive automated e-mail informing them of new search results, which they can access in the Kinnexus database via the World Wide Web, by clicking on a hypertext link in the e-mail.
- UPDATED WINDOWS LOOK AND FEEL - The user interface is updated with a Windows XP look and feel. (It is still compatible with earlier versions, such as Windows 98 and Windows 2000.)
- PHOTOBOOK (NOW DOCUMENT BOOK) CAN NOW INCLUDE ADDITIONAL DOCUMENT TYPES - Spreadsheets, word processing documents, PowerPoint presentations, and other documents can now be attached to listings, in addition to the photos that could be attached in earlier versions.
- USE OTHER E-MAIL CLIENTS FOR KINNEXUS MAIL - While the e-mail functionality of Kinnexus 2.x is still be available, it is now also be possible to send e-mail from Kinnexus using Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, or another default e-mail client. Among other things, this means that the reply address on e-mails sent from Kinnexus can be the user's regular (non-Kinnexus) e-mail address.
- NEW HOME PAGE OPTIONS - Users can expand and customize the Kinnexus home page. Possibilities include customized action lists (separate from the to-do list); lists of transactions and other changes, such as price changes and imminent expirations; and lists based on any other even or date-driven process in the system. The result can be a personalized one-page overview of database activity in which a particular user is interested.
- ONE-TO-MANY TABLES IN REPORTS - Kinnexus 3.0 allows users to create reports which including child fields of parent data fields, such as multiple assessment records associated with a tax record, or the status and price change history of a listing.
- IMPROVED LIST VIEW EXPORT - In Kinnexus 2.5, exports to Excel spreadsheets were possible, but the user had no control over order of records exported. In Kinnexus 3.0, the Excel export routine allows the user to export records just as they are sorted and grouped in the Kinnexus list view.
- IMPROVED PDF EXPORT - PDF export is now an export option, not just a printing option.
- XML EXPORT - Users can export data from Kinnexus in XML format, including either a customizable selection of fields or all the fields for selected records.
- ERROR LOGGING IN DATABASE - In Kinnexus 2.x error logs (and other logs) were written to text files. Version 3.0 adds the option to write logs to the Kinnexus database itself, vastly increasing the options available for handling errors and automatically notifying administrators when errors occur. The result is much easier monitoring of system operations and security.
